We're Still Here by David Glass
As we are waking up today with perhaps a new and austere form of spiritual sobriety, the memory comes to mind of one iconic film-and-dancing star who was herself a kind of lone iconic woo-woo individual in her own right: Shirley MacLaine.
From the central currents of mainstream orthodoxy, we ourselves may also qualify as “woo-woo”—odd, eccentric, strange.
A newly recognized, outstanding Oxford scientist—another amazing “star lady”—-astrophysicist-cosmologist Jude (Judith) Currivan, asserts that what was once perhaps rightly called “woo-woo,” is now becoming validated as a “personal interconnectedness of human-wholeness.”
As Jude explains, what once was truly “woo-woo” has now become truly “we-we.” That is to say: Seen as a living species, we are far more interconnected than we are actually divided.
For more on this, please see her recent lucid books, for I am far too limited to qualify as “guide.” [ “The Cosmic Hologram” and “The Story of Gaia” — fascinating, though not quite “easy reading” ]
But back to Shirley: She did make famous a kind of “Did It My Way” theme song for herself. It is called “I’m Still Here” and you can YouTube it for a free authentic performance.
And so I’m thinking: “WE’RE Still Here” this morning, and essentially the same. All external doings become inwardly invasive, if and only if, we open up and then invite them in.
It’s true that outward aspects of “reality,” to use imprecise language, may have altered. But we retain our inner wholeness and our Unity, as One—our valid spirit-kinship and our authentic and indelible interconnectivity.
WE’RE STILL HERE and we are still a true vanguard community—ambassadors and representatives of future better levels of attainment for the Whole. We’ve always lived a distance from the collective consciousness. And lately, we have only received more clarity on just how much that distance yet may be.
Our essential function and our beingness are the same, our purpose and our nature. Our innate inexhaustible supplies of zeal and enthusiasm, will and imagination, wisdom and understanding, love and faith, are undiminished and unqualified. They cannot be dislocated, dislodged or dismissed. They are ever part of the perennial reality.
They cannot be dissociated from the ever-present, always-accessible center of our centers—those very inward centers which we revitalize together at The Center—-where we gather, give, and multiply the Goodness that WE ARE. WE ARE STILL AND ALWAYS:
HERE ❤️
