Happy Sunday

It was beautiful this morning
Waking up by brilliant morning light
Amie, our dog , bowing, barking bouncing—
Announcing that it’s time to play— this new day’s so exciting.

Birds all over chirping in their choir
Saying “Hurry! Seize this glorious day!

I Awake, jump out of bed,
Eager— Meeting Friends from Paris To discuss, on Zoom,

Then joining on the phone with family, sharing love.

Springtime weather perfect, we take a little walk
Going up the street and back.

Teach one how to balance on a bike,
Have a picnic on their grass, happy together;
Shout out to tell us they’ve just left fruit bread, dinner, produce on our porch,
And to say if we need anything
To just holler out to them.

I want to keep this Loving Sunday scene week after week.
It’s real, authentic, joyful—
Life as it needs to be.
