From Rumi to Mary Oliver: Poems That Awaken the Heart
Join David Glass on Saturday, September 5, from 2:00–3:30 PM at the UCP Sanctuary for a contemplative afternoon of spiritual poetry from East and West.
We’ll explore beautiful and inspiring verses from poets such as Rumi, Mary Oliver, and other beloved voices, reflecting on themes of wonder, compassion, nature, connection, and the divine. Poems will be read aloud by volunteers, creating a space for listening, reflection, and shared inspiration.
The second part of the gathering will be “Bring Your Own Poetry,” inviting participants to share one or two poems that hold personal meaning—either by reading them themselves or having someone else read them.
Come to listen, reflect, share, and connect through the universal language of poetry.
