Unity Social Justice Playshop
You’re warmly invited to a Social Justice Playshop hosted by the Unity Social Justice Ministry (USJM) at UCP on Sunday, June 14th, from 1:00–3:30 p.m. in the UCP Sanctuary.
Together, we’ll share food, laughter, conversation, and meaningful reflection as we explore social justice in community. The afternoon will begin with food and interactive games designed to help us learn more about social justice and the world around us in a thoughtful and engaging way.
We’ll also gather in a Sacred Circle — a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where participants can share thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to today’s world and our personal connection to justice work.
The final portion of the playshop will focus on Sacred Reflective Listening, inspired by Chapter 4 of Brené Brown’s Braving the Wilderness. Together, we’ll practice communication skills that help us connect with people whose perspectives may differ from our own.
Please contact Rev. Pat to let her know you are coming so we can prepare enough food for everyone. We hope this gathering will help deepen understanding, strengthen relationships, and bring our Unity community closer together.
